Fender 1964 Heavy Relic Precision Bass
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Precision Bass, Fender has released a new Custom Shop Time Series creation. The Fender 1964 Heavy Relic Precision Bass comes in the classic 3-tone sunburst finish with the highly sought after "L series" neck plate.
Since it's creation in 1951 the Precision Bass became the dominate bass in the music industry for many years and 1964 is considered by many experts to be Fender's greatest year. This meticulous re-creation of that legendary bass captures all those special details. The select alder body has a bleached nitrocellulose 3-color sunburst finish. It also features a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard on a quartersawn C-shaped maple neck with the vintage 7.25" radius.
The bass is given the Heavy Relic Custom Shop treatment. Other features include an aged tortoise shell pickguard, vintage style tuners, chrome pickup and bridge covers and a custom wound vintage split-coil pickup. The bass also comes with a vintage tweed case, cable, strap, tool kit and certificate of authenticity.
